Razz poker rules
Razz is a form of stud poker. The object of the Razz poker game is to make the lowest five-card possible hand from the seven cards you are dealt. However, in Razz, straights and flushes do not count against you as low, but on the other hand the ace always plays low. The best possible Razz hand is 5-4-3-2-A, or 5 high, also known as “the wheel”.
Anyway, like many versions of Poker, the poker rules speak by itself. Razz is usually played with a maximum of eight players, with limit betting. Each player antes and is dealt two cards face down and one card face up. The player who shows the highest card showing must put his first bet, which is usually one third to half of the regular bet. In a case that two people who play razz poker have a card of the same rank, it is determined by suit, continuing clockwise with betting rounds in between till the showdown.
